One Years Full Membership

Paid once each season, one full membership is £100

We offer flexibility with our payment options to suit a variety of budgets. New for 2024 - we also offer some bursary memberships so please email the chairperson if you would like to apply for one.

Full Membership Monthly Subscription

Pay £10 a month for ongoing membership to Colchester Film Makers Club.

Under 25's / Student Discount

For students and young adults, we offer a discounted rate saving you 50% until you are 25. Pay £50 for one season or £5 a month.

Visiting Non-Members

Some of our meetings throughout the season are open to non-members. Our film screenings and expert talks are only £3 on the door for non-members, check out the seasons programme here

Donation Member

We welcome donations from those who benefit from the clubs resources and want to support our ongoing efforts. Donator members are often independent producers working in collaboration with Colchester Film Makers. Donate Here.

A reduced rate for a second full paying adult from the same household is £80

Frequently asked questions

Do I need experience to join Colchester Film Makers?

We welcome people with a keen interest in film making, experience is not necessary. From beginners to professionals who have expertise in film making, we value every member and encourage growth through our shared experiences each week.

Do I need to buy equipment or merchandise?

If you are new to film making you may discover that there can be quite an investment required in equipment & editing software etc. Our members will often share equipment and find free software solutions to save costs. Club merchandise is available to buy or borrow and worn at public events when you are representing the club.

How do I pay?

Once you have chosen your membership, you can click on the payment link above or email us for bank details. We offer up front and monthly payment options to suit all budgets.

Do I have to attend all the club meetings?

We encourage full attendance to get the most from your membership. Check out the season calendar and get as involved as you choose in the various filming projects and challenges throughout the season.

Can I still come if I can't afford a full membership?

Yes, each season we offer some meetings, suitable for non-members who can pay a small £3 donation on the door. We also have a small bursary fund to sponsor or subsidise full memberships in special circumstances. Please contact the chairperson for details.

You can explore other sections of this website, such as the about page, watch some of our films or download the latest newsletter. Drop in on a Tuesday night meeting and meet us over tea/coffee break at 9pm.

Are you passionate about film making? We welcome new members of all levels.
