Who can join?

Membership is open to anyone interested in our club's activities and films. We encourage new people along at Pitch Nights twice a season. Not all films we help with are for members, sometimes independent producers require some crew support and then they become a 'donator member' to show appreciation. Funds raised by the club goes pays forward to the expenses the club uses to pay for our insurances, equipment, meetings, events, locations and refreshments.

Members can find key documents and links at the top of this page or ask any committee member if you would like a paper version which we can supply on request.

The fastest way is by using the Colchester Film Makers whatsapp group or by direct messaging a committee member. Email addresses are all available on the Committee Page

Some of the films the club are currently producing include some 'how to' short videos which include how we microphone visitors safely and with consideration of all types of people. The club has an extensive archive of over 1000 films.

What information do I need to share with you?

Any information shared as a club member, your name, contact email, address and phone number is held only as long as you are a member of Colchester Film Makers. It is not shared with any third parties and is not available on the website. Interaction with members whatsapp group messages, members only emails and club projects are undertaken on a voluntary basis. Club film projects are made with a variety of community intentions, raising awareness of the club that wants to create films while always refining our film making skills as professionally as possible.
