Essex Film Office Filmmaking Code of Practice - Colchester Film Makers have sought advice and guidance from the Essex Film Office on our larger projects to ensure we meet these measures.

Equipment List - Our equipment which can be loaned by the club to members. There is now a barcode system where each item is scanned when it leaves the club and scanned when it is returned. This keeps a digital record of who has it, so no one can accidentally forget they borrowed it.

Small Expenses Form - The club can help support with out of pocket expenses on club films, e.g costume hire, batteries, props, food and drink on location. To apply for this, please include the original receipt with the expenses form and send to the treasurer@colchesterfilmmakers.co.uk

Q&A

Do I have to pay to make my film project?

We encourage new film ideas to be presented at one of the two Pitch Nights each season. Budgets must be considered with all projects. Sometimes independent producers require some crew support and then they become a 'donator member' to show their appreciation. Any funds raised by the club are paid forward towards the expenses of future projects and members out-of-pocket expenses. As a member, with in-house productions, some expenses can be supported on your project. Just contact the committee with what you have in mind and it will be discussed at the next committee meeting.

How to access documents?

Members can find key documents and links on this page or ask any committee member if you would like a paper version which we can supply on request.
